Ice Energy is among the top industry leaders in providing advanced solutions for energy storage in the electric utility industry. The company has appreciated the novel legislation that has been introduced for establishing federal tax credits towards energy storage investments.
The Storage Technology of Renewable and Green Energy Act of 2010 Act offers tax credits to eligible storage projects including distributed thermal energy storage projects that are grid-connected.
This key legislation will be instrumental in accelerating the wider deployment of the energy storage processes. The bill was introduced on July 20, 2010 by U.S. Senators Jeanne Shaheen, Ron Wyden and Jeff Bingaman. The bill would result in modernizing the electrical grid while improving its reliability, flexibility and efficiency as well and simultaneously help in meeting the clean energy goals of the nation.
