Innovative Solar Systems, a large developer of solar farm projects based in Asheville, NC has recently received approvals on a 35MW (AC) solar farm to be built in Maxton, NC. This state of the art solar farm project will incorporate 120,000 solar PV panels on almost 200 acres of farm land.
The benefits of this project to the community are many including the addition of jobs and tax base to Robeson County. The solar energy plant will provide enough clean electricity to power about 10,000 homes in that area. Construction on this project will begin just as soon as the contracts are signed with the buyer for this project.
Company CEO John Green of ISS states that this solar farm will employ some of the most sophisticated string inverters currently approved for Utility Scale Solar Farm operation and that this project will be one of the companies showcase plants when completed. ISS has many projects being sold to solar panel manufacturing companies these days as it just makes better economic sense for producers of large volumes of solar panels to have a home for panels. Many solar panel companies are providing the financing for solar farms these days if the company's panels are ultimately used on the project. This scenario is a win/win for the panel company and the ultimate buyer and owner of the solar farm project.
