Empire Power Systems to Install Rooftop Solar Power System in Phoenix, Arizona

Empire Power Systems (EPS) is slated to install a rooftop solar power system on a Cowley Companies building having an area of 850,000 sq. ft. in Phoenix, Arizona.

The SunPower T5 Solar Roof Tile system having 2.4 MW capacity has been selected for this installation and represents solar panels spanning 6.5 acres.

The novel solar energy system will provide the tenants of Cowley Companies with renewable energy that is 25% cheaper in comparison with conventional electricity. The Solar Roof Tile system when tilted at an angle of 5 degrees almost doubles its energy generating capacity per square meter.

SunPower Corp.’s president, commercial and residential business group Jim Pape commented that the company’s high-efficiency and proven technology solar panels will assist Cowley Companies to save on energy costs and increase the generation of solar energy.

The installation of the solar system will be partially facilitated by a production-based incentive offered by Arizona Public Service (APS). By means of its Renewable Energy Incentive Program, APS provides incentives for customers who install renewable energy systems in their business and homes.

EPS has a strong track record of providing back-up and primary power producing systems to data centers, manufacturers, schools, hospitals, municipalities and telecommunication centers. The solar team of EPS also has a strong history of distribution power production: engineering and design, installation, technical support, fabrication and maintenance.
