The Thermo Scientific™ EMS-10™ Continuous Emissions Monitoring device is a fully automated four-channel stack emission monitoring device suitable for monitoring hot wet samples.
The EMS-10 system utilizes Thermo Scientific StarBoost™ Technology and advanced FTIR spectral analysis to accurately measure 10-100+ compounds at single-digit ppb levels in short cycles. This makes the EMS-10 an excellent choice over traditional gas chromatograph-based systems, which are often slower, less sensitive, and more expensive to maintain.
The EMS-10 is designed to operated as a continuous emissions monitor with minimum operator involvement. It has dynamic alerting capabilities, user-definable sequencing varying by time of day, remote monitoring, and standard data publication and reporting. Depending on the specific needs, numerous enclosure solutions are available to provide a factory-ready solution.
The integrated design fully controls all gases, including the sample stream, zero gas, and calibration gas, using software accessible via the large front panel touchscreen or keyboard. This device is ideal for assessing gas streams for impurities, hazardous air pollutants, and composition as needed.
EMS-10 Continuous Emission Monitoring System Features
- All sample, calibration gas, and nitrogen connectors are located on the system's back for easy coupling
- Additional cabinet space for user-integrated heated line controllers
- Designed especially for hot and wet samples
- The system’s FTIR analyzer is factory-calibrated and will run continuously throughout its useful life without recalibration. The system may accept calibration cylinders for auto-certification (QA/QC) or produce fresh calibrations for novel analytes if necessary.
- Integrated design with heated automated sample multiplexer, industrial computer, and adaptable I/O interface for simple manufacturing integration
- Channel analysis in near real-time is performed utilizing a 4-port multiplexer with sampling and bypass pumps to allow for continuous sample flow on all channels, as well as a programmable logic controller (PLC) and a touchscreen human-machine interface.
- Standard Modbus™ and optional digital/analog data posting are offered to ensure smooth manufacturing integration into the current infrastructure.
- Thermo Scientific™ MAX-iR™ FTIR gas analyzer, which enables measurement of almost any organic or inorganic component down to single digit ppb utilizing Thermo Scientific StarBoost Technology and down to tens of ppb in standard configuration
- Easy to use Thermo Scientific™ MAX-Acquisition™ Automation Software controls each device in the system on a time basis through a customizable workflow function.
