SunPower Corp. has partnered with Pardee Homes for building solar-powered novel home communities in the region of Southern California.
Pardee Homes’ promotion is termed as “Summer of Solar” featuring SunPower SunTile solar electric systems with 1.4 kW capacity that are included as a normal feature of the new homes. Moreover, this system can be upgraded to a 2.4 kW system on certain homes.
Communities under the Los Angeles County, Ventura County and San Diego County fall under this promotion. These solar communities make use of SunPower’s SunTile systems that comprise extremely efficient cells that are commercially available and generate 50% more power when compared to traditional solar cells.
All these solar systems are enabled with SunPower Monitoring System which provides homeowners with two ways for monitoring system production as well as home energy consumption by means of web interface along with access from mobile devices of Apple. Since 2005, SunPower has been a partner with Pardee Homes. SunPower is a leader in the field of solar power systems and Pardee Homes is a multi-regional developer and builder of apartments and homes among others.
