Montgomery County, Indiana to Have High Clean Energy Yields

Montgomery County Economic Development (MCED) has indicated that the Montgomery County is engulfed with a rich history in the agricultural field and presently the prospects for farming is looking good considering the repercussions of home-grown power on the U.S. economy.

Corn yields in the U.S. have increased to 13.30 billion bushels in the year 2010 from 6.64 billion bushels in the year 1980. Over those three decades, this represents a 10% reduction in the fertilizer usage or the aggregate nutrients, representing a clear jump in efficiency.

Crop production in the Montgomery County has become an advanced business with the usage of the latest technologies. Ethanol, solar and wind energy generation projects have been subsidized by the U.S government while the necessary incentives are also being given for the purpose of supporting private investment.

Based on past performance, the Indiana Corn Growers Association has predicted a high corn yield of 300 bushels for every acre by the year 2030. Currently, there are 12 plants in Indiana for ethanol production that provide for high-tech jobs towards the processing of corn to the extent of 45 million bushels for conversion into ethanol to the extent of 120 million gallons, along with distillers grains livestock feed in 350,000 tons annually.
