SoloPower has announced that its CIGS solar modules have received UL certification. This happens to be a groundbreaking achievement in the solar industry. This product is the first one to be UL-certified in the company’s line of solar modules that are highly flexible. These CIGS modules were introduced initially in the North American and European markets.
The high-power rating as well as the flexibility of these products allows customers of SoloPower to bring down installation as well as the balance-of-system costs. Its application and low weight features facilitate seamless installation of solar systems in areas where installation was otherwise tough.
The UL certification has been awarded after the rigorous tests conducted in an independent laboratory. Additionally, SoloPower has extensively tested the CIGS modules internally and shown that these modules surpass the required standards for reliability, quality and safety.
Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger has welcomed SoloPower’s innovation in creating jobs, strengthening the economy and helping in protecting the environment while making it a point towards making California an environmental leader having a global footprint. Schwarzenegger acknowledged the company’s efforts in leading the way towards a greener economy.
