Telkonet, Inc., whose complementary business divisions include EcoSmart, an intelligent energy management technology solution and EthoStream, one of the largest high-speed Internet access ("HSIA") providers in the world, is pleased to announce that one of its existing higher education clients has requested installation of EcoSmart into three additional residence halls at the university.
"We've been asked to increase our presence at a current client's university campus by installing our EcoSmart energy technology into three additional residence halls," stated Gerrit Reinders, Telkonet's Executive VP of Global Sales & Marketing. "When combined, these dormitories house 2,155 students that will now benefit from the energy management capabilities of our EcoSmart platform. Last year, we saved this particular institution roughly $750,000, before demand response incentives, and expect to clear the $1.0 million dollar mark easily, as we move forward. Our energy management systems have paid for themselves through savings generated in roughly a two-year period."
