Free Green Energy, LLC announced the engagement of Sologen Systems as the Project Manager for a large geopressure electrical generating project. A total of 200 geopressured wells will be developed in the first stage of this project and these wells will be developed in the states of Texas and Mississippi. Baseload electrical power of about 400 megawatts is expected to be generated by this project. The total cost of this entire project is to be approximately $280 million.
Free Green Energy will collaborate with Green Well Power, LLC of Vancouver, BC in this project. Green Well Power will utilize the linear power engine for driving the electrical generators and producing the kinetic energy for the wells. Linear Power of Long Beach, Mississippi was responsible in developing and patenting the linear driver.
Renewable energy and a continual supply of baseload electricity are provided by the geopressure and geothermal resources that are available throughout the United States. The geopressure and geothermal energy is continuously available without any interruption and hence diversifies the nation’s renewable energy portfolio. Geopressure and geothermal energy possess low environmental impact and risk. The system does not emit greenhouse gases and has no impact on the environment as it is used with a closed-loop power plant that includes a linear driver.
Geopressure and geothermal energy is also capable of contributing to energy independence. The domestic distribution and resource size combined with the advancements in technology will help in reducing the national dependence on hydrocarbons for the generation of electricity and it also helps in releasing the critical resources for other applications.
Free Green Energy, in the year 2008, was organized for the identification and development of geopressure and geothermal resources that are used for selling and generating green electricity.
