The Windspire has a length of 30 feet with a total radius of 2 feet. It is available in a soft silver paint finish that is resistant to corrosion and suitable for rural and suburban applications. The wind power appliance has an overall weight of 600 pounds and produces sound level of 8.8 decibels at a wind speed of 50 miles per hour.

The Windspire wind power appliance consists of a brushless permanent magnet generator and a wireless Zigbee modem that functions as a performance monitor.
