AEG Power Solutions has designed and installed a large commercial rooftop solar system located in Plano, Texas. The North American headquarters of the company utilizes its novel 49 kW solar system for harnessing solar energy. This solar energy is fed into the building, thereby reducing its dependence on electrical energy. By this way, the company can save its monthly power bill by around 40–50%.
AEG Power Solutions supports and implements turn-key systems, which facilitate places such as industrial parks and commercial buildings to use renewable, clean energy. The solar systems of the company feature solar inverters, solar panels, diagnostics, communications and monitoring equipment; all of these are maintained and monitored by AEG Power Solutions. The rooftop system of the company has 6 solar inverters and 234 solar modules at the multi-tenant facility located in Plano, Texas. The rooftop system integrates with the utility grid in the locality and also complies with local codes. The company has recovered most of the cost incurred on the system by means of local solar incentives and federal tax credits.
The rooftop system has photovoltaic (PV) panels that are tilted at an angle of 15 degrees in order to maximize the effectiveness of the system. The solar inverters help produce alternating current (AC) by converting the direct current (DC).
The North American operations of AEG Power Solutions focus on offering renewable energy solutions. Being a member of Green Grid and Solar Electric Power Association (SEPA), the company offers renewable energy alternatives including solar energy to customers in an effort to decrease energy costs and environmental impact.
Moreover, AEG Power Solutions has purchased a majority stake in Germany-based skytron energy, which develops and manufactures monitoring systems meant for PV power plants of utility scale. This move further strengthens AEG Power Solutions’ presence in the worldwide renewable energy industry.
