BP Solar provides various types of solar energy systems. The company offers product solutions meant for home, business and builders. The BP 80 is a photovoltaic module that incorporates silicon nitride multicrystalline silicon cells and is offered in S, L and J configurations.

The BP380J module weighs about 7.7 kg and measures 1209 mm in length, 537 mm in width and 50 mm in depth. The model is fitted with 36 solar cells of 125 mm x 125 mm size and linked in series in a 4x9 matrix. This model uses a clear universal frame and a typical J-box with a connection block having six terminals, IP 65 designed to accept PG 13.5, M20 half an inch conduit or a cable fittings designed to accept 6-12 mm diameter  cable. The electrical properties of the model include 80 W maximum power, voltage at Pmax (Vmp) of 17.6 V, warranted minimum Pmax 76 W, current at Pmax (Imp) 4.5 A, open-current voltage (Voc) 22.1 V, short-circuit current (Isc) 4.8 A, maximum series fuse rating 20 A and maximum system voltage 600 V.

The model is constructed using high-transmission 3 mm tempered glass; black and white back sheet and provided with an EVA type enclosure. The model is fixed over a silver colored clear oxide coated aluminum alloy type 6063T6 Universal frame. The product is manufactured in ISO9001 certified factories conforming to various European Community Directives and certified to IEC61215.
