SunPower and Educational Testing Service (ETS) have teamed up for providing clean energy solar systems on the three office buildings of ETS in Princeton and Ewing, New Jersey.
ETS, with these systems, has reinforced its commitment to environmental protection, waste reduction and energy conservation while SunPower’s technology ensures that the solar systems deliver environmental benefits as well as cost savings in the long-term.
ETS is anticipating that this new 1.8-MW installation will be generating electricity that will be equivalent to 10% of the current demand in the sites, thus delivering a cost savings of $1.5 million, over a period of the next two decades. SunPower is a global expert in designing, manufacturing and delivering the most powerful of solar technologies in the world. The T5 Solar Rooftop system of SunPower is a classic example of the company’s technological prowess while its T5 Solar Roof Tile is a single pre-engineered unit that provides the combination of a mounting system, frame and high efficiency solar panels. In comparison with other systems, the T5 Roof Tile system produces approximates two times the energy produced for every square meter when the system is tilted at an angle of 5 degrees.
