SunPower Corp., a producer of efficient solar panels, solar cells and solar systems, has introduced its new product line of SunPower E19 Series solar panels that provide modules in configurations of 72 cells and 96 cells, with at least 19% efficiency.
The SunPower E19 Series comprises the 72-cell, E19 / 238-W solar panel with 19.1% efficiency and the 96-cell, E19 / 318-W solar panel with 19.5% efficiency. The modules feature contact solar cells which offer 3% surplus surface area for every cell, increasing panel efficiency by decreasing unused space. The anti-reflective coating of the panels facilitates the harnessing of more light, thereby producing more energy compared to other solar panels. The SunPower E19 Series are ideal for customers having constrained roof space.
Apart from its SunPower E19 Series offering, the company also offers the product line of SunPower E18 Series that includes panels in configurations of 72 cells and 96 cells ranging from 225 to 305 W. The SunPower E19 Series will be available to commercial and residential customers through the European and North American dealer networks of SunPower Corp. starting from Q3 of 2010.
