AWE 52-750 Wind Turbines from Americas Wind Energy

Americas Wind Energy manufactures the AWE 52-750 wind turbine that is a 750kW model. This direct drive wind turbine features an up wind rotor. The rotor of the wind turbine consists of three blades. Each blade can be pitched over its full span separately and actively. The wind turbine includes less number of components, which reduces the risk of faults in the machine.

With single bearing system, the generator and rotor of the turbine rotate together as an integrated unit. As the AWE 52-750 wind turbine does not have a gearbox, it offers easy maintenance. The rotor diameter of this horizontal axis wind turbine is 52 meters, having a swept area of 2,082 square meters. The rotor rotates at a variable speed of 26rpm. The wind turbine, offered by Americas Wind Energy, is available with 40, 50 and 75 meters hub height. The tower of the AWE 52-750 wind turbine is tapered tubular type.

The AWE 52-750 wind turbine is equipped with PLC type of controller and LWMS remote monitoring. The wind turbine features 750kW, 690V synchronous generator. The generator features active wound rotor field excitation and IP 54 protection. The inverter system of the wind turbine features voltage source type of inverter with a microprocessor controller. The output voltage of the inverter system is 600 to 690 volts. The inverter system features AC_DC_AC grid coupling.
