International Electrotechnical Commission Certification for Odersun’s CIS Solar Modules

Odersun AG has received IEC 61646 and 61730 certifications from the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) for its CIS-based solar modules. The company will begin mass production of the solar modules after this significant achievement.

The IEC certifications clearly indicate that the solar modules from Odersun comply with IEC’s stringent norms with regard to safety, quality, and function. German Engineering Association VDE has awarded these compliance certificates for its 1 by 1.70m framed glass-foil modules that was made of Odersun's CIS-on-copper-tape cells.

Odersun begins mass production of the solar modules from its 20 MW production facilities located in Fürstenwalde (Spree), Germany, after achieving this important milestone. Hein van der Zeeuw, CEO of Odersun, said that with the beginning of production of its aesthetically pleasing CIS solar modules, the company will be delivering the products to its customer from this quarter. Hein further stated that the certification has laid a firm foundation for the company to expand its product portfolio to provide customized solar modules for integrating with buildings. In order to achieve this, the company is collaborating with several partners from the building industry.

Odersun’s proprietary technology enables the company to produce solar modules according to the requirements of customers to meet the aesthetic and functional standards of the modern architecture.
