Aide Solar Introduces Poly-Crystalline Black Frame Solar Panels at International Builders Show in Las Vegas

Aide Solar’s new 230 watt poly-crystalline black frame panels have been introduced as an energy-efficient feature on the NextGen “Home for the Generations” at the International Builders Show in Las Vegas. In the International Builders Show, the 1,800 square foot home with a greater focus on energy efficiency and spotlighting friendly products were highlighted as part of the US Department of Energy’s “Builders’ Challenge”.

Raymond C. Wiley, Director, North America Sales, Aide Solar, USA, remarked that the black frame panels offer an alternative to the standard aluminum frames used for a majority of silicon photovoltaic panels. These black frame panels provide an elegant appearance that beautifully blends with the tiles and the roof lines. Wiley remarked that the NextGen Home experience is the most appropriate way to display its product as an energy-efficient option for those builders who are in search of ways to provide buyers of new homes with energy-saving advantages.

The US Department of Energy’s “Builders’ Challenge” was launched in the year 2008. This is a national energy savings program that highlights the necessity for the US homebuilding industry to construct 220,000 high performance homes by the year 2012. A high performance home is one that uses at least 30 percent less energy compared with a conventional new home that meets the most recent national model building code.

Tens of thousands of home buyers and home builders have toured the demonstration homes of NextGen Home Experience since the year 2003 to gain knowledge about the latest innovations for the American home. Home buyers are expecting their new homes to possess extra benefits such as more flexibility, more energy efficiency and more eco-friendly construction. This year, more than 26 companies are participating in the “Home for The Generations” construction and contributing to the four basic characteristics of a NextGen Approved Home: Green, Efficient, Safe and Digital.
