Crownbutte Wind Power to Take Part in Grasslands Renewable Energy's Wind Spirit Project

Crownbutte Wind Power, a leading developer of wind projects based in North-Dakota, announced that it will be taking part in the unique Wind Spirit Project developed by Grasslands Renewable Energy.

Large-scale use of renewable energy such as solar and wind has many barriers. The objective of the Wind Spirit Project is to address these obstructions. The project aims to collect renewable energy from diverse geographic areas from Montana to Northern Great Plains and combine it with smart grid components and energy storage technologies to make a renewable energy supply baseload. A series of 230KV AC transmission lines will be used for collecting the energy for this project and delivered to large markets through high-voltage DC and AC transmission lines. The project, which combines renewable energy from different geographic areas, will enable renewable energy to be cost-effective and efficient.

Commenting on the project, Dr. Terry Pilling, Crownbutte Executive Vice President, said that company is delighted to part of this innovative Wind Spirit Project and its project development pipeline will be benefited due to the access provided to the western energy markets.
