Maxis BC+ Back Contact Multicrystalline Solar Cells from Photovoltech

Photovoltech manufactures the Maxis BC+ back contact solar cell that is made using multicrystalline cell technology. The special feature of this solar cell is that it has busbars on its back rather than in the front. This gives an aesthetic appearance to the cell and makes it suitable for building integrated photovoltaic applications. This solar cell can be used for applications such as automotive, facades and sunroofs.

Maxis BC+ Back Contact Multicrystalline Solar Cells

The Maxis BC+ back contact solar cell allows high density of cells to be packed in a module, resulting in more efficiency and performance of the module. This polycrystalline cell, offered by Photovoltech, features reduced surface shading on its front to obtain high current density. As this solar cell has a simplified automation, it helps to minimize assembly costs of solar modules. To provide longer durability, the Maxis BC+ multicrystalline cell features maximized metal contacting and anti-reflection coating with silicon nitride.

The Maxis BC+ back contact solar cell comes in various output power classes ranging from 3.42 to 3.98W. The solar cell with 3.98W peak power, provided by Photovoltech, has a maximum power voltage of 508mV and maximum power current of 7.85A. The open circuit voltage of this solar cell is 615mV, while the short circuit current is 8.50A. The efficiency of the 3.98W back contact solar cell is 16.3 per cent. The dimensions of the Maxis BC+ multicrystalline cell are 156 x 156mm.
