The proposed marine energy park developed by Able UK at Killingholme in North Lincolnshire is waiting for the yea or nay calls from the residents in North Lincolnshire for continuing its development process.
The marine energy park to be developed for a wind turbine manufacturing site at a cost of £400m will become a key player in the offshore wind energy trade if it receives the yes and go ahead voting from the residents. The proposal is to build a new dockside and deep water port installations after reclaiming 136 acres of land from the Humber water body and developing 605 acres of onshore land to sustain the offshore wind generation industry. It will allow the production; installation and commissioning of offshore wind turbines.
Able UK, as part of its planning procedures is conducting regular public consultations at local venues. The proposal if receives approval will create around 4,000 jobs locally.
