This article offers a first analysis and estimation of the technical potential to decarbonize hydrogen demand by producing green hydrogen with an electrolyzer. It is the first study to offer an estimation of the potential technical capacity to cover existing hydrogen needs with green hydrogen at the national and regional level with open source georeferenced data.
