Eaton Diversifies its Wind Power Capabilities in China

Eaton Corporation, a diversified industrial manufacturer, has announced that the company will be providing key technologies in wind power to Guodian United Power Technology Company Ltd. (Guodian), Eaton’s important wind energy customer located in China.

This agreement is anticipated to generate around $1.5 million as annual revenue for Eaton. This new business deal with Guodian showcases the capabilities of Eaton as a leader in providing wind power hydraulics while reinforcing the company’s position as a leading manufacturer of wind turbines.

Eaton’s diversification in the wind energy business is testament to its commitment towards clean energy sources along with its values on environmental sustainability. The Hydraulics Group of the company, based in Shanghai, China, will be supplying hydraulic power units that are equipped with Integrated Hydraulics and Vickers screw-in cartridge valves meant for shaft and yaw braking functions for usage on Guodian wind turbines that are produced in the province of Hebei. Eaton will also be providing technologies such as Winner Fittings, Aeroquip and Matchmate Plus towards braking system functions.
