EnergyOne Technologies to Build Solar Station at Frazer Park, California

EnergyOne Technologies, a renewable energy developing company, has contracted a letter of intent with a private company to build a 0.25 MW solar station at Frazer Park, California.

The solar station will incorporate the newly developed and patented Photovoltaic-Capacitive Battery Storage (PCBS) solar panels of the company. The solar panels will combine a thin film solar cell with that of a thin film ultra-capacitor and a thin film Nickel Zinc storage battery in the form of a solitary multi-layered unit.

The unit is designed to store the output of solar energy generated within the panels to allow access for power in the night or during the cloudy day time. EnergyOne has unveiled its plans to establish a 2 MW. Nickel Zinc-Battery energy storage system. The storage system will get charged from the grid power during the night and will sell back the power to the utility in the peak power demand period.

The total installation is expected to cost around $2.25m. EnergyOne, will make the investment, build and own the system and operate it. The output from the station, which is enough to provide power to more than 200 houses will be traded with the private company under a long term power accord. The construction of the solar station is anticipated to commence at the end of 2011.
