Sun Harvest Solar Power Project Completed by enXco

enXco has completed various solar power projects, one of which includes the Sun Harvest Solar project. This project included the installation of a commercial photovoltaic system, which was the first one to be installed in the US. enXco designed this system in partnership with Unlimited Energy and Third Rock Systems. The Sun Harvest Solar project was designed for minimizing the electric energy bills of a school. This project commenced on September 2007, while the commercial photovoltaic system started functioning by December 2007.

The commercial photovoltaic system, installed by enXco, was designed by incorporating the thin film technology and comprised as many as 3396 solar panels. These solar panels were manufactured by First Solar. The photovoltaic system of the Sun Harvest Solar project was useful for fixed tilt ground mount applications and covered a total area of 2.2 acres. Installation of this system also resulted in the reduction of approximately 319 metric tons of carbon dioxide.

The photovoltaic system of the Sun Harvest Solar project, installed by enXco, had the capability to generate a maximum power of 247 kilowatts. The generated power was purchased by the Fresno Adventist Academy. Some of the other solar power projects completed by enXco include Sacramento Municipal Utility District Solar Array, Black River Farm Solar Project and Sacramento Soleil, to name a few.
