SolarWorld’s Modules Rated No.1 in Energy Productivity Test

In an industry-wide test conducted for highest electricity production in solar modules by Photon magazine every year, solar power technology from SolarWorld has again been rated as No.1 for the second year running.

In Photon tests conducted in the years 2008 and 2009, modules from SolarWorld has produced more electricity for each watt of installed capacity than other modules from competitors. SolarWorld modules produced more power up to 12% in 2009 tests.

The yield tests for solar modules are conducted under controlled conditions. Such tests are conducted only by Photon. The results of the recent test will be published in Photon’s February edition. The test results provide renewable energy consumers an objective basis to select solar modules that are available in the market.

Photon magazine has conducted the tests on SolarWorld modules that were manufactured in Europe.  In America also, SolarWorld manufactures its products using the same demanding quality standards as in Europe.

Frank H. Asbeck, chairman and CEO of SolarWorld AG, said that the test results underscore the company’s top position in the world solar market.
