The ‘Heating the Northeast with Renewable Biomass’ conference to be held at the Center of New Hampshire on April 27 – 28 in Manchester, NH, is likely to focus on the topic of renewable heating fuels. Participants of the conference are expected to come from Sweden, Ireland, Canada, Austria, and Finland as well as from 15 states in the U.S.
The scheduled unveiling of the ‘Bold New Vision’ meant for the biomass thermal sector on April 28 is what stirs up the attention on renewable heating fuels. The Biomass Energy Resource Center (BERC) is one of the sponsors for the conference. Senator Jeanne Shaheen of New Hampshire will make a presentation at the conference.
The BERC, the Biomass Thermal Energy Council, the Alliance for Green Heat, New York Biomass Energy Alliance, Maine Pellet Fuels Association, the Pellet Fuels Institute and Clean Air-Cool Planet have all expressed their support for biomass thermal. Generally, biomass is carbon free and is produced by using byproducts from the wood-using and wood-harvesting industries.
