Solar Power UK Conference 2010 to Focus on 250 MW Solar Power in 2011

The Solar Power UK Conference 2010, planned by the Solar Power Group under the initiative of the Renewable Energy Association in alliance with Solar Media Ltd, is scheduled to be held on 18th and 19th October at the Savoy Place that houses the Institution of Engineering Technology in the city of London. This, first ever official event of Solar Power Group is expected to receive around 400 participants.

The conference focused with a theme, "Enabling the UK solar market for 2011" will discuss details, such as growth and demand for solar products in the UK, the cost of the products and the challenges that hinder the supply of the products. The conference will also discuss the consensus taken during the last meeting held at Munich that UK can achieve 250 MW installed capacity in 2011 alongwith the top industry players to realize the target.

The conference is set to discuss on impending projects that can produce more than 150 MW solar power in the year 2011. The conference is expected to have decisive sessions concentrating on the intricate legal frame works that hinders the progress of solar installations and circumventing the financial methods followed or enforced in the UK for the benefit of the solar power installations. The conference will provide details on the PV adoption opportunities to the local governments, private surveyors, planners and public-private businesses. The conference is expected to have sponsorship from British Gas, SolarWorld, IBC Solar, Trina Solar, Sharp, Mitsubishi Electric and others.
