Recent Report Indicates Growing Wind Power Status of China

A recent report from Himfr.com, an e-commerce company, indicates that the Chinese wind power market is growing and will shortly lead the global wind power production.

The report states that China is expected to reach a total of 230 million kilowatt wind power production facility in the year 2020 and its total power production from all sources will reach 464.9 billion kilowatt hours which can be equated to the total power production from 200 heat engine plants.

According to the report, in the year 2010 about 0.6 million people are working in the wind power generation industry and one wind generation unit is installed every 30 minutes all over the world. Out of every three such wind generation units installed, one unit is installed in China. The report states that while the wind power industry aids in the growth of China, the country in turn assists the growth of the wind power industry. The tremendous growth of wind industry in China assists the multinationals to get good returns on their investment in the country. Now China has established itself as the biggest wind power market in the world as well as the biggest producer of wind turbine generators.

The report indicates that the fast growth in the Chinese economy demands increased power needs. The need for environmental protection and the requirements to reduce its greenhouse gas emissions made the country to look for more alternative energy sources and technologies and that necessitated the country to opt for green wind energy and led to the growth of wind energy industries. The report concludes that the Chinese wind power industry still requires more sustained efforts to attain maturity.
