John Wiley’s Report on 2010 Energy Forum Available from Research and Markets

John Wiley and Sons’ report ,"Materials Challenges in Alternative and Renewable Energy: Ceramic Transactions, Volume 224," is now available with Research and Markets.

Materials Challenges in Alternative & Renewable Energy (Energy 2010) held in February 2010 at Cocoa Beach was a crucial technical forum. With 223 participants representing more than 25 countries, the forum held at Florida included over 160 posters, presentations and tutorials. Bringing together leaders in energy and materials science, it threw light on the latest challenges and developments involving materials for renewable and alternative energy sources and systems.

The American Ceramic Society (ACerS), the Society of Plastics Engineers (SPE) and ASM International co-sponsored the conference and represented materials disciplines of ceramics, polymers and metals, respectively. International and national leaders presented nine  tutorial-based presentations on leading energy alternatives. The conference also addressed advanced materials challenges involved with wind, solar, hydrogen, hydropower, nuclear, geothermal, biomass and batteries & energy storage.
