Green Point Wind & Solar installs solar electric systems, small wind power generation systems, and solar thermal systems. There are two types of solar photovoltaic systems, namely, grid-tied and off-grid. The grid-tied solar photovoltaic system is connected with the grid to power home when less electricity is generated from the PV system. This solar electric system captures energy from the sun and converts it into usable electricity.
The grid-tied solar photovoltaic system incorporates photovoltaic panels to generate electricity. A series of photovoltaic panels are connected together to form a solar array. This solar array is utilized to generate direct current (DC) and then converting it into alternating current (AC) through an inverter. This solar photovoltaic system installed by Green Point Wind & Solar is capable of generating energy up to 100% that is required for a small business or home. Users can sell excess energy to the utility company through the grid-tied system.
For installing solar modules, a proper location has to be chosen that is free from shade and facing south. Solar modules can be installed on the ground or on a roof to obtain maximum sunlight exposure. Each panel has an output capacity of 200W per hour. Therefore, the amount of electricity generated using grid-tied solar photovoltaic system will depend on the number of panels used.
