A-1650 Wind Turbines Designed by AAER Systems

AAER Systems designs different models of wind turbines. The A-1650 wind turbine is a horizontal axis model that is capable of operating in diverse terrain and wind conditions. This turbine has been designed by incorporating some additional features in the existing A-1500 model, which is also manufactured by AAER Systems. The A-1650 wind turbine has a total of three blades. Some of the features of this wind turbine include full span pitch control options and variable rotational speed.

The A-1650 horizontal axis wind turbine has the capability to generate the required power output at a rated wind speed of 12 meters per second. The pitch and electrical torque control features incorporated in the wind turbine from AAER Systems facilitate smooth operation even at a wind speed of 3.5 meters per second. The A-1650 horizontal axis wind turbine generates constant power output at varying wind speed ranging from 12 meters per second to 20 meters per second.

The wind turbine from AAER Systems comprises an IGBT power converter incorporating sophisticated power electronics. It has a compact designed nacelle and a large sized rotor. The gear system of the A-1650 horizontal axis wind turbine adds to its longevity. The control system is accessible from the bottom of the turbine tower. It is the pitch system that controls both the torque and speed of the wind turbine.
