EBEC Estimates the Home Heating Oil Market as 900 Million

European Energy Expo and Conference 2010 (EBEC 2010), scheduled during 6th and 7th October, at Stone Leigh Park Warwickshire, UK is prudent to discuss the Renewable Heat Incentive act which is expected to stimulate the growth of the industry proposed in April 2011.

The RHI is expected to create an all new expansion market for Bio-diesel that can be synthesized with heating oil. Currently the bio-diesel sector produces an estimated volume of 900 million litres.

The planned EBEC workshop organized by Clean Energy Consultancy is intended to explain and explore the opportunities available for bio-diesel industry in the home heating oil segment. The workshop is expected to stress on the cost effective implementation of biofuel heating and the carbon benefits it can bring in when compared to usage of LPG, and other types of heating oils with heat pumps. The workshop has arranged for the presentation of case studies to strengthen the cause of biodiesel usage. Other details considered during the workshop include setting up standards for blending requirements, sustainability factor, incentives and other matters related to the act, well ahead of its introduction.

Richard Price, EBEC’s Director explained the  issues such as financing the projects, issues related to environment, reclassification of Glycerol, finding new markets for biodiesel and inclusion of more bioenergy sectors.
