The design phase of the Alstom wind plant has come to a conclusion. Ryan Companies US Inc. has finished this design-development stage on a novel facility that would assemble the wind turbine nacelles towards Alstom Wind’s Amarillo, Texas facility. Construction towards building this 115,000-sq.-ft. facility has started already on a particular 19-acre site during August.
For this project, Ryan Companies US is providing the engineering and architectural services that include the interior as well as landscape design along with consultation services for mechanical, electrical, structural and civil engineering. Ryan Companies US is providing professional services for the first time for new construction projects.
The wind turbine platforms will be produced at this plant and will be enabled with a power generation capacity of 1.67 MW as well as 3 MW, while featuring higher gearbox reliability made possible by the Pure Torque technology of Alstom. Many water-saving, energy-efficient as well as other green strategies have been incorporated towards ensuring a LEED project that is successful.
