TradeWind Energy Explores Garfield County for Wind Energy Project

TradeWind Energy, a Lenexa, Kan-based company, is currently in the process of gathering weather conditions related data and performing field surveys for its proposed Chisholm View Wind Project over the fields in the northeast part of Garfield County. The wind project has taken over 40,000 acres of land under lease in the area of Hunter and Kremlin for building the wind farm.

Joe Arb, the development manager of Chisholm View Wind Project, said that the company is on the look out for a prospective buyer to buy the electric power generated from the wind farm. He added that the company will commence the construction of the wind farm on signing a long term accord with the power buyer. Arb said that for the TradeWind energy project, the company has rented the land from over 100 land owners from the Kremlin and Hunter locations. RES Americas, a Broomfield, Colorado-based company, has also rented the land from the land owners. The rented land in Garfield County and Grant County areas is said to have good wind potential to generate electricity.

Earlier during September this year TradeWind Energy had participated in a wind energy discussion conducted by Enid Regional Development Alliance and took the opportunity to spread wind energy education among the local communities. Impressed with the response shown by the Garfield County community, Arb said that the Chisholm View Wind Project will occupy an important position in the project portfolio of the company.
