OLED World Summit to Feature Presentations from Panasonic, LG Chem and Philips

Smithers Apex and the OLED Association are pleased to announce that Panasonic, LG Chem and Philips are among the many industry innovators presenting at the 14th annual OLEDs World Summit.

This event – the longest-running in the OLEDs industry – will take place Sept. 26-28, 2012, at the Parc 55 Wyndham in San Francisco, CA and will focus on investment and markets for display and lighting, plus highlight recent advances in R&D from a wide variety of OEMs and research institutes. The Super Early Bird rate for the OLEDs World Summit 2012 will expire Friday, July 27, 2012.

“2012 has already been one of the most dynamic and newsworthy years that the OLEDs industry has ever seen. With this year’s program, our experts will delve deeper into OLED technology R&D than any other symposium to date and will provide our delegates with the intelligence that they need to succeed in both the highly competitive display sector, as well as the emerging lighting industry,” said Andrew Smaha, conference director for Smithers Apex. “We’ve confirmed presentations by a great number of organizations in the news, and are excited to hear from faces that will be both new and familiar to Summit attendees. In particular, our focus on OLED lighting R&D and design is nearly double what we’ve presented in past editions. Whether you are a scientist, analyst, R&D manager, materials supplier, architect, designer, product manufacturer, or CEO, OLEDs 2012 will provide you with the key contacts and insights to develop your business as OLED technologies proceed toward widespread commercialization.”

At OLEDs 2012, delegates will benefit from three full days filled with more than twenty presentations from the leading organizations in the industry including Arizona State University; EMD Chemicals; IBM; Konica Minolta Advanced Layers; Novaled AG; OSRAM Opto Semiconductors GmbH; Panasonic; Philips Lighting; Soochow University; Tianma; Universal Display Corporation and the U.S. Army Research Laboratory.

The international audience of OLED lighting and display leaders will also hear from AU Optronics Corp.; Bingham McCutchen; Display Search; First O-Lite; Fraunhofer; Ignis Innovation Inc.; IHS iSuppli; Kateeva, Inc.; KeyBanc Capital Markets; OLED Association; OLEDWorks; SRI International; Sungkyunkwan University and Wolf Greenfield. OLEDs 2012 will also offer attendees three panel discussions with industry heavyweights on How OLEDs Can Grow from ‘Niche’ to Market Dominance, Strategies with OLED Lighting Designers and Flexible OLEDs from Concept to Market.

The OLEDs World Summit will begin with 2 pre-conference seminars that will allow attendees to gain a deeper understanding of key issues facing the industry. Barbarians at the IP Gate, led by Jed Dorsheimer of Canaccord Genuity, will show attendees how to construct a lasting IP portfolio along with offensive and defensive IP strategies and Options for Innovative Area Lighting, led by Norman Bardsley of Bardsley Consulting, will cover color, control, cost and other key topics. An additional fee is required to attend the seminars.
