Green Point Wind and Solar Offers Evacuated Tube Solar Collectors

Green Point Wind & Solar offers solar thermal system that captures the energy from sun for heating hot water, heating pools and spas, and space heating. The solar thermal system consists of three components, namely solar collector, pump system and storage tank. There are two types of solar collectors available. They are flat plate collectors and evacuated tube collectors.

The evacuated tube solar collector supplied by Green Point Wind & Solar is manufactured by Apricus. The evacuated tube collector has more insulating benefits than the flat plate collector.  The vacuum present inside the collector is insulated to trap the thermal energy inside the collector. It retains the heat and stops it from escaping even in winter months. The evacuated tube water heater performs efficiently even in cloudy and windy conditions, and in cold temperatures. It is fitting for the applications that need higher temperatures.

The evacuated tube solar collector is available in sets of 10, 20, 22 and 30 tubes. It can be combined with other collectors to maximize the size to provide sufficient hot water. Each tube has capacity to heat water up to 2 gallons per day. A 30 tube solar collector can heat water up to 60 gallons per day. The size of collector required for customers’ application will depend on the usage of hot water.
