New, Fully Recyclable Eco-Friendly Coffee Cup Replaces Styrofoam Cups at United Airlines

United Airlines is introducing a new, eco-friendly coffee cup to its United Club beverage service beginning this month and on United flights beginning mid-March. The insulating InCycle® cup, manufactured by Washington-based technology company MicroGREEN, is fully recyclable and made from up to 50 percent recycled materials. The InCycle cup will replace the non-recyclable Styrofoam hot beverage cups the airline currently uses.

Renewable Energy Group Acquires Renewable Chemical Technology Developer, LS9

Renewable Energy Group, Inc.® today announced it has acquired leading renewable chemical technology developer LS9, Inc. for a purchase price of up to $61.5 million, consisting of up front and earnout payments, in stock and cash. Most of the LS9 team, including the entire R&D leadership group, will join the newly named REG Life Sciences, LLC, which will operate out of LS9’s headquarters in South San Francisco, CA.
