An iPhone, BlackBerry and iPod accessories manufacturer Dexim has introduced the novel DCA199 Foldable Solar-Powered P-Flip meant for the iPhone 3GS and 3G. Powered by two solar panels and a 2,000 mAh lithium polymer battery, the DCA199 extends audio playing time to around 60 hours; game or video time to around 15 hours; or talk time to around eight hours.
The product can flip vertically or horizontally for hands-free viewing of video. The DCA199 requires approximately 15 hours of sunlight exposure to be fully charged. Users can still charge the product utilizing a micro USB cable.
Dexim CEO Laconia Cheng believes that solar energy is likely to dominate the worldwide renewable energy industry for the next decade. To this end, the company intends to continue focusing on green initiatives.
Apart from the DCA199, the company has also introduced the DCA152 P-Flip, which when used with interchangeable cradles can be utilized with the BlackBerry Curve 8900, Tour 9630 or Bold 9000 for extending talk time to around six hours.
