WindPower Innovations, Inc. has completed the acquisition of Energetic Drives, LLC. Now, Energetic Drives has become a fully-owned WindPower Innovations subsidiary.
This acquisition will help WindPower Innovations provide sophisticated solutions to increase profitability and decrease downtime for operators of wind farms and also assist solar and wind projects to attain compliance with future and existing industry standards.
Energetic Drives is a provider of energy efficient solutions targeted at the wind energy industry. The proprietary Grid Tie-Inverter of Energetic Drives helps customers comply with Smart Grid standards. The Direct Drive Generator technology of the company facilitates optimum energy production even at different wind speeds. Utilizing DC Permanent Magnetic Generation, Energetic Drives developed a wind turbine that does not use a gearbox.
