A-Power Energy Generation Systems to Deliver its Archetype Wind Turbine for Testing

A-Power Energy Generation Systems Ltd has declared the delivery of its 2.05 MW archetype wind turbine generator produced at its factory located in Shenyang, Liaoning Province, China to Shenyang Lucky Wind Power Equipment Co Ltd its subsidiary company in the US. The wind turbine will be sent to Texas for installation at the projected 600 MW Spinning Star Wind Energy Project.

The test results of the archetype wind turbine will be utilized by A-Power for making corrections in other wind turbines to be sent for the project. The company also has plans to utilize the results in the production of its other wind turbines meant for the clients in the United States. Spinning Star Energy LLC, the developer of Spinning Star Wind Energy Project, is a company formed out of partnership between Shenyang Power Group (SPG) a partly-owned Chinese auxiliary of A-Power and some of the developers based at U.S.

Mr. Jinxiang Lu, Chairman and CEO of A-Power, said that the company is happy to declare the proposed delivery of the prototype wind turbine. He added that his company considers the Spinning Star Project to ultimately grow into an unmatched clean energy development that can stand as an example for such large scale projects formulated all over the US.
