Collection Enhances Sustainable Surfacing Offerings from DuPont

DuPont today announced its newest collection of surfaces -- the DuPont(TM) Zodiaq(R) Terra Collection -- with four new colors that contain at least 50 percent pre-consumer recycled glass. The collection will be available through DuPont distributors in the United States in July 2008.

The DuPont(TM) Zodiaq(R) Terra Collection

  • Calm Springs - Medium gray color with a hint of blue and a deeply layered effect created by clear recycled glass particles.
  • Moroccan Morning - Warm golden sandstone color with a subtle texture created by brown recycled glass particles.
  • Mossy Green - Light neutral sage color warmed by clear and brown recycled glass particles.
  • Warm Taupe -Deep warm mocha brown color with a subtle texture created by brown recycled glass particles.

The collection further demonstrates the company's commitment to providing sustainable building solutions that are on the cutting-edge of design. The colors will be submitted for certification review by Scientific Certification Systems (SCS).

All DuPont(TM) Zodiaq(R) colors can help contribute to earning U.S. Green Building Council's LEED(R) points for MR Building Reuse, MR Regional Materials, Environmental Quality (EQ) Low Emitting Materials - Adhesives and Sealants.

DuPont(TM) Zodiaq(R) and the sealants and adhesives from DuPont Surfaces are GREENGUARD Indoor Air Quality Certified(R) and have received the GREENGUARD for Children & Schools(SM) Certification.

Long-lasting, extremely durable and easily maintained, DuPont(TM) Zodiaq(R) is an advanced composite material made of quartz and other materials. In residential environments, DuPont(TM) Zodiaq(R) can be used in a variety of applications including kitchen and bathroom countertops, backsplashes, wet bars, fireplace surrounds, tub decks and tub and shower surrounds. DuPont(TM) Zodiaq(R) is non-porous and when properly cleaned does not promote the growth of mold, mildew or bacteria. The entire DuPont(TM) Zodiaq(R) product line, including the Terra Collection, ranges from approximately $50 to $125 per square-foot installed and carries a 10-year residential installed transferable limited warranty from DuPont. Pricing varies on complexity, color and project location.
