Demand for Eco-Friendly Products Has Never Been Stronger

As consumers become increasingly mindful of their role in protecting the environment, the demand for new and innovative eco-friendly products and brands has never been stronger.

Highlighting the strength of this movement, Licensing International Expo 2008 will feature several green themed exhibitors during the three day show, held June 10-12 at New York’s Jacob Javits Convention Center, including:

  • Idbids, LLC is the creator and owner of the eco-friendly Idbids characters – Scout, Lola and Waverly. The Idbids are designed to create awareness and inspire action. Their motto is “iddy biddy steps make a biggie big difference” in keeping our Earth happy, healthy and green.
  • The Beanstalk Group is working with The World Wildlife Fund to create a range of products which are considerate of the environment and offer consumers better everyday choices. Potential categories include household products, home furnishings, office supplies, and toys and games.
  • Timber Tom, a new eco-friendly animated series targeting preteens and their parents from the Belgium-based creative design studio, Eugene and Louise, featuring Timber Tom and his best friend Bark!.
  • The Aspen licensing program, created in conjunction with Bradford Licensing Associates, will feature multi-functional products made out of eco-friendly materials to alleviate the human footprints on Mother Earth.
  • Planetpals innovative “Green Friends for Earth” characters teach through rhymes, slogans, fun facts. Each character represents a natural resource and in turn teaches kids responsibility for their planet.
  • Planet Earth, the BBC’s epic award-winning production which celebrates the extraordinary beauty of the planet, is the inspiration behind an extensive licensing and merchandising program offered in conjunction with licensing agent The Joester Loria Group.
  • Adventures of Riley™, from educational and environmental multi-media content developer Eaglemont, teaches kids the importance of recycling, protecting endangered animals and environments, investigating careers in science and more.
