The Holmen Iggesund mill, Iggesunds Bruk, has been awarded the EcoVadis Leadership Award for 2021 in recognition of its sustainability performance in 2020.

EcoVadis is a global sustainability rating agency that annually performs 25 000 evaluations of companies around the world. The Ecovadis methodology is based on leading CSR standards such as GRI, Global Compact and ISO 26000, and is supervised by an international scientific committee.
The Iggesund Mill is recognised as a global leader in sustainability after reaching 77 points out of 100 available in the EcoVadis scoring system. That result gave the mill platinum level as the top 1% of all companies assessed by Ecovadis at the time of completion. When summarizing the total results of the 2020 assessments, Ecovadis found that the Iggesund mill came out top of its class. The 2020 score earned Iggesund the number one position as the company reported the highest score in its macro-sector (manufacturing light). In relation to this, Ecovadis is giving the Holmen Iggesund mill the Sustainability Leadership Award, an award that work as a recognition for companies leading the charge in sustainability performance and innovation.
Holmen Iggesund's Head of Sustainability, Johan Granås, comments on the award, “I proudly accept this award on behalf of the Holmen Iggesund sustainability team that has done a great job in translating all the good things we are doing into the Ecovadis evaluation.
