With this tower kit, the installation of the wind turbine tower does not require any machining or welding. However, in the case of mounting Whisper 500 wind turbines over the tower, concrete work or excavation is needed.
Whisper 100/200 24-Feet Guyed Tower Kit
The Whisper 100/200 24-feet guyed tower kit comprises the following accessories: one tower base, one wind turbine mount coupler, one coupler or top wire set, one tower pivot coupler, four cable thimbles, eight cable clamps and eight coupler bolts. The wind turbine installation also requires pipe material, power wires and anchors. These materials are not included with the kit and have to be bought separately for installation.
The Whisper 100/200 24-feet guyed tower kit requires either schedule 40 water pipe or CQ40 fence pipe that is 2.5 inches in diameter. The pipe can be selected based on the wind conditions. Thick pipes suit the harsh wind conditions and thin pipes for areas where wind never exceeds 80mph. The requirements and specifications for installing the 24 feet guyed tower kit are: pipe length – 24 feet, augur size – 36 inches, guy radius – 15 feet, anchor hole depth – 3 feet, anchor hole diameter – 1.5 feet.
