Many companies have insisted in the significance of expanding the production of alternative fuels. These companies include Clean Energy Fuels, Exxon and Nova Biosource Fuels.  All these three companies are involved in introducing alternative eco-friendly fuels in the American market.  A $600 million algae fuels development program was recently announced by Exxon.

Stone is now focusing in expanding the company’s relationship with the municipalities. Stone remarked that the company through its recent collaboration with DC Biodiesel has discovered a number of advantages to produce biofuels in facilities that are near to fleet operations. Stone further stated that plants located in the large metro areas can gain benefits through increased options of municipal funding and low transportation costs.
