A-Power Energy Generation Systems Signs Definitive DG Contract with Biomass Electricity To Develop Biomass Power Plant

A-Power Energy Generation Systems has signed a definitive distributed power generation (DG) contract with Biomass Electricity, Thailand to develop a 150-megawatt biomass firing power plant in Prachinburi, Thailand. A-Power Energy Generation Systems is a rapidly growing manufacturer of wind turbines and a chief provider of distributed power generation systems in China. This biomass DG project, which started in December, is estimated to be completed within 27 months.

This definitive Distributed Power Generation (DG) contract includes the purchase and installation of three main engines and other supplementary equipment and the designing of the power station. A-Power Energy Generation Systems will be the general contractor for five power station systems that include the thermal control system, the civic engineering system, the chemical water treatment system, the electrical system and the output system.

The total value of the contract amounts to US$ 86 million and this includes procurement and sub-contracting expenditures and design and installation fee.
