Northwest Power provides various types of solar powered products including the solar radar speed display sign. The radar speed sign features a super bright LED display that warns the drivers to check the speed. The LED display features 18-inch characters in red or yellow/amber color. The solar powered radar speed display sign has the ability to detect vehicle speeds in the range of 5 to 99 miles per hour.
The solar radar speed display sign is equipped with a 40-watt solar module and two batteries featuring 18-amp hours. The solar battery charger included in the solar radar speed sign is self regulating. The enclosure of the radar speed sign is made of aluminum. The enclosure features a white balance powder coated finish with a black front. The light sensor of the solar radar speed sign can be adjusted for brightness to suit day and night hours. The light sensor is adjustable both manually and automatically.
The solar powered radar speed display sign is featured with directional radar that identifies traffic coming toward the radar monitor. The two standard violator alerts provided with the solar radar speed sign are blanking display and flashing display. Other violator alerts are also available on demand. When combined with the optional traffic stats pack, the solar speed display sign can download traffic statistics that can be used for traffic studies. The solar radar speed sign, offered by Northwest Power, is suitable for applications in areas such as work zones, school zones, construction zones, low speed arterials, and traffic detours.
