Solaicx develops wafer production systems for making Czochralski m-Si ingots that are specially used in the manufacturing of silicon based photovoltaic modules. The wafer production system helps to manufacture large volume of high quality monocrystalline silicon ingots at low cost. These silicon ingots are later converted into solar wafers. The monocrystalline silicon wafer production system comprises continuous Czochralski crystal grower that offers higher production than the traditional Czochralski crystal grower.
The Czochralski m-Si ingots production system is designed exclusively for the solar wafer manufacturing. The production system features an improved capital equipment technology that makes the ingots faster when compared to the existing technology. The new technology offers quick ingot yielding cycle times. The produced ingots have uniform resistivity all through their length. The Czochralski m-Si ingots production system makes solar wafers in six inches and eight inches. These solar wafers have high minority carrier lifetime and they are made according to the client specifications.
The manufacturing process of the production system enhances the silicon utilization, which is an important factor in the making of silicon wafer. With improved silicon utilization, the solar wafers are produced with significant efficiencies and advantages. Besides, Solaicx also has slabbing, internal ingot cropping, and surface grinding equipment along with a high capacity wire saw. The equipment can slice thinner silicon wafers measuring 300 to 150 microns.
