Hydron-Aire offers geothermal heating and cooling systems manufactured by WaterFurnace. The EW Series hydronic heat pump supplied by the company is designed to provide both hot and chilled water. As this heat pump has a reversible control box and operates in a range of temperatures, it can be suitable for different applications including radiant floor heating, pool and spa heating, snow melting, and process water installations. This hydronic heating system has 13.5 EER and 3.3 COP.
EW Series Hydronic Heat Pump
The EW Series hydronic heat pump can be used in three configurations, namely, heating only, cooling only, and heating and cooling. It is equipped with a cabinet made of heavy gauge steel with a polyester coating finish, which is corrosion resistant. This geothermal heat pump offered by Hydron-Aire uses ozone-safe R-410A refrigerant to save energy and the environment. It includes oversized heat exchangers and scroll compressors to provide efficient heating with silent operation.
The microprocessor controller incorporated with the EW Series hydronic heat pump controls the compressor and pumps by checking the entering water temperature. This controller allows users to see all modes of operation, and to adjust temperatures easily. It also monitors fault conditions for safe operation. This hydronic heating system includes a desuperheater as an option to produce hot water and to improve the system efficiency. The safety features available in this heat pump includes low and high-pressure refrigerant controls and high-limit desuperheater pump shutdown.
