Helix Wind Offers D100 Vertical Axis Wind Turbines

Helix Wind supplies D100 wind turbines, which are suitable for applications in off-grid facilities, research centers and remote places. The wind turbine can work efficiently even in harsh environmental conditions. The body of the wind turbine is made of galvanized steel. The vertical axis wind turbine can capture wind from any direction and also work efficiently during wind gusts and wind turbulence that change directions frequently.

D100 Vertical Axis Wind Turbine

The rotor diameter of the wind turbine is 1.0 meter, while the blade height is 1.0 meter. The D100 vertical axis wind turbine features vertical axis darrieus rotor. The blades are made of epoxy glass resin. The weight of the rotor without the minipole is about 77 pounds. The wind turbine, provided by Helix Wind, starts generating electricity at a wind speed of 3.5 meters per second.

The vertical axis wind turbine is included with shrunk-on-disk permanent magnet rotor generator along with self supplying generator control. The wind turbine is also featured with generator short circuit braking system. The D100 vertical axis wind turbine operates silently and it is maintenance free. The wind turbine, available from Helix Wind, does not need a yaw system as it makes use of the turbulent omni-directional air immediately. The maximum mount height of the wind turbine is 11 meters.
